Every child has a story that shines, a moment, or a lesson that makes them truly
special. At Kellogg’s, we believe every child is a superstar, and that greatness starts
with the little wins, big dreams, and bright ideas that shape who they are.
That’s why this year’s Kellogg’s Superstar Scholarship Essay Contest invites kids aged
5–12 to share their story in an essay titled “My Superstar Journey.
”
And here’s the best part, the top 150 entries will each win a ₦150,000 scholarship!
But what exactly does “My Superstar Journey” mean? Let’s break it down.
What We Mean by “My Superstar Journey”

Your superstar journey is your own story of growth, discovery, or achievement, no
matter how big or small. It’s about moments that made you proud, taught you
something new, or helped you believe in yourself.
Here are a few ideas to inspire your essay:
●A challenge you overcame: Maybe you once struggled with a subject in
school but worked hard and got better.
●A talent you discovered: Perhaps you realized you’re great at drawing,
football, dancing, or helping others.
●A lesson you learned: Did you learn the value of kindness, teamwork, or
believing in yourself?
●A dream you’re chasing: Tell us about your goals, whether it’s becoming a
pilot, a scientist, a singer, or even the next big star in your community.
Every story counts. You don’t need to be perfect, we just want to hear your voice and
your journey.
What We’re Looking For
When our judges read your essay, they’ll be looking for:
Originality: Your own unique story, written in your own words.
Clarity: Simple, clear writing that helps us understand your experience.
Inspiration: A message that shows growth, confidence, or courage — what
makes you a superstar.
Remember, it’s not about fancy words or big achievements. It’s about heart.

●Keep your story around 300 words.
●Write in your own voice, it’s okay if you make mistakes!
●Start with what happened, explain how you felt, and end with what you
learned or how it made you stronger
●You can add a photo, drawing, or image that helps tell your story, we'd love to
